Symptoms are dependant on the infected area. These are the most common symptoms:

Barber's Itch - Crusted skin on bearded areas of the face and neck. Hair might flake off.

Ringworm of the scalp - Itchy scaling of the scalp. Round spots of baldness. Skin may ooze pus..

Jock Itch - Red scaly patches of skin that is often itchy and causes a burning sensation.

Ringworm of the body - Red, scaly patches.  Each patch is less than 5 cm thick.

Athlete's Foot - Red, scaling and cracked skin on the feet, especially the areas around the toes. It may itch or burn, and causes a horrible odor.
